How to arouse your taste buds at an Agriturismo

The countryside is pretty cool. Everyone talks about it, wants to take a trip there and eat good, locally sourced food. Hi! We’re Federica and Gabriele

Two people who have changed our lives for the better.

We love anything and everything that’s homemade, a sustainable lifestyle and our vegetable garden.

A year ago, we started visiting agriturismi owners throughout Italy (more than 400 of them!) and got to know them and their lifestyle, a lifestyle characterised by determination and drive for simplicity and purity. We like to call them ‘our heroes’.

All of the agriturismi we visited are working farms run by owners whose lives are dedicated to the country. Real people with natural humility who work the earth and live in old traditional Italian farmhouses.

Life in these places is another world – no fakeness or false smiles.
Just like us, they are people passionate of the noble causes of times gone by – they love nature, ecology and locally grown food as much as they love warm, spontaneous chats, genuine smiles and respect for each other.

Some call it ‘sustainability’, ‘responsibility’, ‘downshifting’, ‘eco awareness’. But for us, it’s simply a way of life. A real life, for real people.
